The Canticle of Simeon

Now dismiss Thy servant, O Lord, in peace, according to Thy
word: For mine own eyes have seen Thy salvation, which
Thou hast prepared in the sight of all the peoples, a light to
reveal Thee to the nations and the glory of Thy people Israel.

Dearest Family in Christ,

"What shall I render to God for all His benefits toward me?"

There is no way to thank our Lord sufficiently for the outpouring of love and grace He has showered upon this new venture through His people — needed now more than ever at this special time of transition from St. Louis to our new home in Tulsa, Oklahoma!

Blessed be God, we have temporary quarters in Tulsa for the next two months while we search for a suitable structure that can be made into a convent for a minimum of 13 (but more hopefully, 30) sisters. As stated in the "Welcome Letter" we are beginning almost from scratch with regard to financial and material needs, so if you wonder if we could use a hand, the answer is a resounding "yes!"

Your prayers and the many letters we have received, especially following our Christmas newsletter, have been deeply heartening. How blessed it is to be His, to be the recipient of such a glorious faith, and to be part of such a heavenly family on earth.

Would you pray with me that, with whatever permanent dwelling we find, we will be able also to purchase or rent a guest house very nearby? Several families have expressed a desire to travel to Tulsa and spend a few days helping in the work; others simply to visit. I would love a place for families, for priests and religious to come, and, in time, for the families of the sisters to be able to visit. I can envision such a house coupling as a mission house for teaching classes on the faith, showing good films and hosting open Q&A sessions. A million dreams! And a world in desperate need of our Savior and His Church!

Please know that we are grateful beyond measure for whatever you may wish and are able to do individually, as a couple, family, group, or organization — especially those organizations who may offer matching funds for teaching orders! How wonderful that would be. There is no limit to opportunities to assist and be a part, and we are most grateful for every effort and for every prayer.

May our gracious Lord and dearest Mother bless you greatly, and may your every need be met in Him who is the source of all we have and are.

My love, prayers, and gratitude to each of you, in those two most worthy Sacred and Immaculate Hearts,

Sister Rosalind Moss

Lord, make me an instrument of
Thy peace;
where there is hatred,
let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may
not so much seek to be consoled
as to console;
to be understood,
as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning
that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying
that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen.
